Static and Kinetic Friction Force

Static and Kinetic Friction Force

IN THIS EXPERIMENT YOU WILL…

Observe friction Friction, force that resists the sliding or rolling of one solid object over another. and its effect on movement. There are two types of friction namely static frictionStatic friction is the friction that exists between a stationary object and the surface on which it's resting.  and kinetic (dynamic) frictionKinetic friction is a force that acts between moving surfaces.. Friction is a contact force. It will help the learners to determine the relationship between the normal force and the maximum static The force that was applied was exactly the right amount to overcome static friction, so it is equal to Fsmax. and kinetic friction respectively, experienced by an object.
