Students will conduct a number of experiments to determine the effect of intermolecular forces on the physical properties evaporation, surface tension, solubility, capillary action and boiling point. After completing these five experiments, learners will understand how physical properties like evaporation, surface tension, solubility, capillary action and boiling point are influenced by the strength of the intermolecular forces in different substances.
