Food Test – Glucose & Starch

IN THIS EXPERIMENT YOU WILL…

Test for the presence of glucose and starch as well as learn that all organic chemicals contain the elements Carbon, Hydrogen and Oxygen. There are three basic organic substances that we are working with, these are Carbohydrates, Lipids and Proteins. Carbohydrates can be divided into Monosaccharide’s e.g. Glucose; Disaccharides e.g. Sugar and Polysaccharides e.g. Starch.
